• It is imperative that you use a balancer (such as the one built into this charger)
to charge rechargeable batteries that use lithium technology with more than one
cell.
• Charge LiPo rechargeable batteries with a maximum charging current of 1C.
This means that the charging current may not exceed the capacity value printed
on the rechargeable battery (e.g. rechargeable battery capacity 1000 mAh, max.
charging current 1000 mA = 1 A).
Follow the manufacturer's instructions in the case of LiFe/LiIon rechargeable
batteries.
• The discharge current may not exceed the value printed on the rechargeable
battery.
For example, if a value of „20 C" is printed on a LiPo rechargeable battery, the
maximum discharge current is equal to 20 times the rechargeable battery's
capacity (e.g. rechargeable battery capacity 1000 mAh, max. discharge current
20 C = 20 x 1000 mA = 20 A).
Otherwise, the rechargeable battery may overheat, leading to deformation/swel-
ling of the rechargeable battery or to explosion and/or fire!
The printed value (e.g. „20 C") does not refer to the continuous current, but to the
maximum power that the rechargeable battery can supply briefly. The continuous
current should not exceed half the indicated value.
• Rechargeable batteries with lithium technology are very sensitive to deep
discharge, which will destroy the rechargeable battery. If the model does not
feature deep discharge protection or a visual display to indicate low voltage,
cease operating the model within an appropriate period.
