• Never attempt to charge/discharge damaged, leaking or deformed batteries. This
may cause a fire or explosion. Dispose of rechargeable batteries that can no
longer be used in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Never charge/discharge rechargeable battery packs pieced together from
different cells.
• The charger may not be used to charge rechargeable batteries that feature in-
ternal charging electronics or protective circuits (e.g. mobile phone rechargeable
batteries).
• Never charge built-in rechargeable batteries or rechargeable batteries connected
to electronics.
• Never connect rechargeable batteries to the charger whose battery chemistry
and technical data is unknown
• Rechargeable batteries warm up during charging/discharging. Touching the
rechargeable battery poses a risk of burning!
• Should it be necessary to shorten a rechargeable battery's connection cable (e.g.
if the rechargeable battery was delivered without a plug), shorten each line indivi-
dually to prevent short-circuiting. Otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Recharge the rechargeable battery once every 3 months to prevent so-called
deep discharge which can make a rechargeable battery useless.
• Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the charger as soon as it is fully
charged.
• In case of incorrect handling (excessive charging currents or incorrect polarity),
the rechargeable battery may be overcharged and/or destroyed. In the worst
case scenario, the rechargeable battery might explode, causing considerable
damage.
• Follow the safety instructions and the information on maximum charging/dischar-
ge current provided by the rechargeable battery manufacturer.
