This supplement comprises additional and replacing information to the Operating manual PM 5330,
order no .9499 520 1 1801.
1. General
Throughout this manual it is stated that it is possible to switch on pre-emphasis together with internal FM
Stereo.
In cases of FM Stereo with pre-emphasis there is a difference between pre-selected and realized FM deviation
depending on the audio frequency, This might cause unwanted limitations of the deviation and might give
problems as soon as RDS/ARI modulation is selected as well. The RDS/ARI information can be disturbed.
To avoid this problem, the internal software has been changed in a waythatpre-emphasis selection with
internal FM Stereo modulation is not possible.
In the external FM Stereo mode it is still possible to select the pre-emphasis.
