Input of the Output Level
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PM 5330
The values for the output level can be given either in dBm, mV or µV. Selection is done using
the key dBm/µV, and the unit selected appears at the right-hand side
in the second row of the
display. Values input in mV or µV are rounded internally to the next 0.1 dBm value. The unit
dBm can be changed to dBµV or dBmV.
Range:
-127 dBm ... + 13 dBm
- 20 dBµV ... +120 dBµV
- 80 dBmV ... + 60 dBmV

Input is similar to that for frequency input, as described in Section 3.5.4. Note the sign in front
of the value when inputting in dBm.
The unit dBm can be switched over to dBmV or dBµV by SPECIAL key followed by number 13
for dBµV, and SPECIAL 14 for dBmV. The unit dBm is selected by SPECIAL 12.

This setting can be changed with numeric keyboard, rotary knob or keys "+~" "-O"
(see Section 3.5.6) .
If the key dBm/µV is pressed now, the output signal will be shown in the respective unit. For
volts, values > 1 mV are shown in mV and values < 1 mV are shown in µV. The signal itself
remains unchanged.
