Design of Display Field and Keyboard (see Appendix, Figure 1)
The display field consists of four rows for following indication (from top to bottom)
- frequency, max. 7~/z digits
- unit MHz, kHz

COUNTER for frequency counter function
- special functions SPCL, 2 digits

output level, max. 3~h digits

unit dBm with negative sign for -dBm; mV/µV;

unit dBm can be changed to dBmV or dBµV by SPECIAL function

ENTER to indicate the input mode

RF OFF to indicate switched -off output signal

- modulation parameter, max.:
2 digits for sweep frequency, unit Hz
3 digits for modulation/audio frequency, unit kHz
3 digits for sweep width, unit kHz or MHz
3 digits for modulation depth (%) and frequency deviation (kHz)
The symbol "►" in front of the single rows shows that this section is ready for input or
selection of data respectively parameters.

The symbol "O" in the first or second row flashes to show that the step width can be set for
frequency- respectively output level-stepping.

The symbol "o" indicates whether the RF frequency, output level, modulation /audio fre-
quency, depth or deviation can be altered by the rotary knob.
