INSTALLATION- AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1-3
Select one of the voltage ranges, as appropiate, by turning the selector. If necessary, insert
the advised fuse (T0.4A or T0.8A) into the fuse holder instead of the one built-in.
ATTENTION:
The instrument has no power ON/OFF switch. It has a STANDBY key
by which only the internal DC supply for some circuits is switched off. So
the mains voltage is still present in the instrument in STANDBY position.
The power cable must be disconnected from the line outlet socket to
separate the generator from the line.
1.2
OPERATING POSITION OF THE INSTRUMENT
The instrument can be used in the position indicated in Chapter 4. The instrument may be
used in a sloping position with the tilting feet folded down. The characteristics mentioned in
Chapter 4 are guaranted for the specified positions. Ensure that the ventilation holes in the
cover are free of obstruction. Do not position the instrument on any surface which produces or
radiates heat, or in direct sunlight.
1.3
RADIO INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION
Radio interference of the instrument is suppressed and checked carefully. In connection with
deficient suppressed base units and further units radio interference can be generated, which
have to be suppressed by means of additional activities.
