3.5.7.8 Combined Modulation Modes
In addition to the five standard modulation modes Sweep,
AM, FM, FM
-Stereo
and RDS, a
further one or two modes can also be activated simultaneously. In this case, the selection of
additional modulations depends on the basic or second modulation selected. An overview of
all modulation modes and their possible combinations is displayed on page 3 - 15.
If other modulations are to be added to one which already is selected,
then the input of the 1st modulation mode must not be acknowledged with ENTER, but the
SPECIAL key must be pressed to call up further modulations.
The modulations desired can be selected from the menu displayed by means of the MODULA-
TION ~ ►keys. Modulation modes which are already selected flash; the entire setting is then
sent to the unit with ENTER.
The internal parameters can be changed in the case of combined modulations where one of
them is external. If both modulations are internal, only the parameters of the first modulation
can be changed. The second modulation always works with the same modulation frequency
as the first one. The modulation depth (m) corresponds to the value of the FM deviation and
vice-versa. In the case of limitations caused by other parameters, the next common value is
always switched back to. If, for example, an output level greater than
+7 dBm was set for
frequency modulation, a reduction to +7 dBm automatically takes place if FM is combined with
AM.
Modulation modes activated in addition to the standard modulation can be deactivated by
means of the key combination SPECIAL and MODULATION OFF/ON.
Example of combined modulation mode:

2. modulation mode RDS, RDS record no. 3
3. modulation mode AM INT
