3 - 4 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS PM 5330
The keyboard is divided into three sections named FUNCTION, UNITS, DATA:
FUNCTION
- preparation for frequency input (FREQ)

preparation for output level input (LEVEL)
- preparation for step width input (0)

selection of modulation modes (MODULATION)
- selection of modulation parameters (MOD PARAMETER)

switching to counter function (COUNT)

step function (-O / +O)
UNITS
-
unit for frequency input, MHz or kHz
-
unit for output level resp. voltage, dBm/dBmV/dBµV, mV/µV

OFF/ON to switch the modulation off or on
- key SPECIAL for special functions
DATA
-
keys for input of values, decimal point and sign
-
keys for storage registers (STORE, RECALL)
- facility to rub-out last selected digits (RUBOUT)

key to execute instrument settings (ENTER)
The key RF OFF/ON switches the RF output signal off or on.
The key VERNIER ON/OFF switches the function of the knob on and determines whether it
should act on the frequency, output level, modulation /audio frequency, AM depth or fre-
quency deviation.
If the key LOCAL is pressed during remote control, input reverts to keyboard operation.
By operating the ADDR key, the device address can be displayed and a new one entered.
The key STANDBY toggles the instrument between operate and standby mode.
