OPERATING MANUAL
1. GENERAL
This User Supplement comprises additional and replacing information to the PM 5530 Operating Manual,
Code no. 9499 520 1 1 801.
Valid for all instruments onwards serial number LO 587 053.
2. LEVEL INDICATION FORMAT
For the RF Signal Generator PM 5330 the format of level indications is extended.
— Indication of the output level is extended by measurement unit dBf (femtowatt, fW)
— Indication of the output level related to 50 S2 or 75 S2 termination
(the output impedance of the PM 5330 RF Output is always 50 S2).
3. OPERATION
Switchover of the level indication is realized by SPECIAL functions, see section 3.5.11 of the Operating
Manual.
SPECIAL 16 switches over to level display with 75 S2 termination. The display additionally shows the symbol
'REL' in front of the level value.
SPECIAL 17 switches over the display to 50 S2 termination (basic setting of the instrument). Recalibration
of the output level must always be done with 50 S2 termination.
