NOTE
In addition to these operating and in-
EN
stallation instructions, follow and
comply with the local regulations re-
lating to operation, installation and
environmental protection.
6.1
Requirements installation
space
The following points must be take into ac-
count when selecting the installation loca-
tion for the Webasto Live:
The lower edge of the enclosed mounting
–
template must be a minimum distance
above the ground during installation. The
minimum distance is indicated in the fig-
ure at "Assembly on page 44".
If several charging stations are installed
–
next to each other, a spacing of at least
200 mm must be maintained between
each station.
The mounting surface must be solid and
–
strong.
The mounting surface must be completely
–
flat (max. 1 mm difference between the
individual mounting points).
The mounting surface must not contain
–
any flammable substances.
The normal parking position of the vehicle.
–
The location of the charging plug on the
–
vehicle.
36
A cable run from the charging station to
–
the vehicle as short as possible.
No risk of driving over the charging cable.
–
Possible electrical connections.
–
Pavements and escape routes must not be
–
obstructed.
Reception via WLAN or UMTS exists.
–
Protected against direct solar radiation
–
and rain for optimum and fault-free opera-
tion.
Compliance with local regulations such as
–
garage regulations or fire protection regu-
lations.
6.2
Criteria for the electrical
connection
The maximum charging current that can be
configured is indicated on the type label of
the charging station. The type label is on the
right-hand side of the charging station.
The power availability in the service connec-
tion determines the maximum permitted
charging current. The electrician makes the
necessary settings in the configuration.
(see online configuration instructions:
https://webasto-charging.com/
documentation)
Before connecting, have the prerequisites for
connection checked by an electrician. Com-
ply with the nationally applicable regulations
of the authorities and power supply com-
panies, e.g. registration of installation of a
charging station.
All protective devices specified must be de-
signed such that every power supply pole of
the charging station is disconnected in the
case of a fault. When selecting the protect-
ive device, you must use the national install-
ation regulations and standards.
6.2.1 Dimensioning of the Residual
Current Circuit Breaker
(RCCB)
The national installation regulations gener-
ally apply. Unless otherwise specified therein,
each charging station must be protected by
an appropriate residual current device (RCD)
with a trip current of ≤ 30 mA.
Suitable residual current devices are a type-B
RCD or a type-A RCD with a residual direct
current detecting device (RDC-DD) according
to IEC 62955. A suitable type-A RCD with in-
tegrated residual DC detection is, for ex-
ample, the residual circuit current breaker
type DFS 4 A EV from Doepke.
The rated residual current must not be
greater than 30 mA. Whenever a charging
station is protected using a Type B ground
fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), every up-
stream GFCI, even if not assigned to the
charging station, must either by a Type B
unit, or be equipped with a DC ground fault
detection unit.
