2.8 Control unit and receiver board
The functions of the control unit can be simulated by jumping the corresponding outputs (1) at the
receiver board (2).
To do so, disconnect the appropriate output (e.g. S1, S2, etc.) and jump to terminal 8; jump at the
same time the function at the touch pad key panel (3) (terminals 27 and 29).
If the operating table function is initiated, then there is a defect at the circuit board or at the control unit.
Check the switching voltage of the transistors (6) of the receiver board (2); to do this, jump terminals 27
and 29 (motor function), place one measuring tip of the voltmeter on the cooling element of the board
(ground) and use the second measuring tip to check all the outputs of transistor (6) (S1, S2, ... S12)
(see circuit diagram).
The measuring results must be identical (max. ± 0.2 V difference).
for IR remote control only
Test the IR transmitter and charging station using the IR tester.
Check uniform setting of the selector switches ( 5/7 ) of boards ( 2/8 ).
Check the voltage supply (5 V) at the control unit; if it is correct then the control unit (4) will have to be
replaced.
If the error is not eliminated in this way, then replace the receiver board (2).
