using the supplied light proof cover.
Use the multiple scan mode to make at least three
single scans. The samples must be extracted new
between each scan [see 6.6 Number of scans].
The results are displayed automatically as average

Measuring colours with the sph xs1

A main feature of the ColorLite sph xs1 spectrophotometer
is that it is very easy to use. To achieve constant precise
results, a few basic rules must be observed.
5.1

Calibration

The calibration takes only a few seconds and sets the
device to a defined status. At the same time main
functions of the device are checked.
The calibration should be performed at the beginning of
work. Always calibrate before measuring a standard that is
to be stored for later use.
When measuring a larger number of samples and / or
when ambient temperatures fluctuate, the calibration
should be repeated at regular intervals.
The calibration must be carried out under the same
environmental conditions as the subsequent
measurements.
