La misurazione va effettuata usando apposito
spessimetro «C».
Si tenga presente che se il giuoco è maggiore di quello
prescritto, le punterie risultano rumorose, in caso con-
trario le valvole non chiudono bene dando luogo ad
inconvenienti quali:
■ perdita di pressione;
■ surriscaldamento del motore;
■ bruciatura delle valvole, ecc.
■ intake valve 0.10 mm;
■ exhaust valve 0.15 mm.
Use a suitable feeler gauge «C» to measure the clear-
ances.
Remember that if the clearances are greater than those
specified, valve gear will be noisy; if the valves donor
close fully this can cause problems such as:
■ loss of compression;
■ engine overheating;
■ valve burn-out, etc.
