Selecting a location

The Manoeuvring Assistant should preferably be mounted in
front of the axle, but in exceptional circumstances (e.g. lack of
space) it is also possible to mount it behind the axle. Only use
the bolts provided (or the mounting parts available as special
accessories) to attach the Manoeuvring Assistant.

Fitting the drive elements

The frame of the vehicle must be free of rust, grease and
heavy soiling. There must be no damage in the area of the
wheel suspension.
The wheels and tyres fitted on the caravan must be of the
same size and type, and must be inflated in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions.
Remove all components from packing and place on the floor.

In order to guarantee the validity of the general operating
permit (ABE), the data plates (f) provided must be
mounted on the right and left of the cross-strut next to the hold-
ing sheets for the drive assemblies..

Join the drive assemblies and the cross-strut together loosely.
Tighten the nuts (lock nuts), but no more than finger-tight.

Place mounting set (b) on the vehicle frame and bolt it on with
the two bolts (c) in such a way that it is just possible to move it
along the frame.

Bolt the drive assemblies with cross-strut on the mounting set
with the U-bracket (d) in such a way that it is just possible to
move it.

Position the drive rollers in such a way that they are roughly at
wheel hub height (middle of wheel ± 30 mm).

For height differences of up to 45 mm, GO
spacer plate kit (2 x 15 mm) as an accessory to compensate
for these. Up to three spacer plates can be used on each side.
The set of bolts is required to attach the spacer plates.
For height differences of more than 45 mm the low chassis
installation kit must be used. Make sure that there is adequate
ground clearance (at least 110 mm).
