Hit the "MODE" key several times, until the LC display shows "Trip ? ",
then hit "ENTER". The display shows the trip distance (1.95 nm in this
case).
Go to start point A of the measuring distance.
Hit the "CELAR" key, and "ENTER" immediately thereafter when you
pass start mark A. This will reset your trip counter to zero.
Cover the measuring distance in a straight run, and write down the dis-
plyed value (1.74 nm in this example) when you pass mark B.
Calculate the calibration factor F with the following formula:
Effective distance (A-B)
F = ------------------------------------------------------------ = --------------- = 1,15
Displayed value (A-B)
Now enter the calculated calibration factor F (1.15 in this case) as de-
scribed below.
