b) Set temperature unit
It is necessary to remove the batteries when setting the temperature unit in order to
restart the sensor.
1. Remove the battery compartment screw of the battery compartment (A3) with a cross-head
screw driver.
2. Lift the battery compartment cover up.
3. Remove the batteries (not applicable to first time setup).
4. Select the temperature unit as per below diagram.

5. Insert the batteries (not applicable to first time setup).
6. Replace the battery compartment cover.

c) Install batteries into sensor(s)

For temperatures below -4 ºF / -20 ºC use lithium batteries.
The sensor may take up to 1 hour to adjust itself to the environment after once you
have inserted the batteries.
1. Remove the battery compartment screw of the battery compartment (A3) with a cross-head
screw driver.
2. Lift the battery cover up.
3. Insert 2 AAA batteries into battery compartment. Make sure to observe the polarity
indications in the battery compartment.
- The indicator light (A6) lights up for a short time.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
- Make sure not to damage the seal.
