13. Maintenance and cleaning

a) General information

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the housing, as this can lead to scratch marks.
Dust can be easily removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Use a damp cloth to clean the outdoor sensor.
Regularly check the rain gauge and remove any leaves or other objects.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage/
discolour the casing or cause the product to malfunction.

b) Cleaning the rain funnel

Leaves and other objects may accumulate in the rain funnel (19). If necessary,
detach the funnel to remove the dirt.
To remove the funnel, turn it to the left slightly until it becomes loose (1), and then
detach it from the sensor (2). Rinse the funnel with clean water. Use a small brush
or toothbrush to clean the grille on the bottom of the funnel.
Replace the funnel and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

c) Cleaning the temperature/humidity sensor

Insects may enter the openings on the protective cover (12). If this occurs, follow
the steps below to clean the temperature/humidity sensor.
Remove the two screws (1) and detach the protective cover from the sensor.
Carefully clean the sensor (e.g. with a dry brush).
Place the protective cover back onto the sensor and screw it in place.
