c) Selection of the Remote Control Mode

The remote control offers the option of switching between
mode 1 and mode 2. Depending on selected mode, the pitch
function „THRO" for lifting and lowering of the helicopter can
be operated with the right (mode 1) or left hand (mode 2).
The nod function „ELEV" for flying forwards and backwards
is then controlled with the respective other hand (also see
section „General information on control of model
helicopters").
Overview of the control lever assignments for mode 1
and mode 2:
THRO = Pitch Function: Lifting and lowering of the
helicopter
AILE = Roll function: Control to the right and left
ELEV = Nod function: Control to the front and back
RUDD = Tail function: Turn to the left and right
In contrast to the other 3 control functions, the
control lever for the pitch function is not moved
to the centre position by spring force. The control
lever always stays in the last position set.
Set the mode switch (see figure 1, item 1) in the desired
position with the transmitter switched off and switch on the
transmitter with the function switch (see figure 1, item 6).
Depending on position of the mode switch, the display
indicates „MODE 1" or „MODE 2".
If you hold the transmitter so that the display indications can
be properly read instead of being upside-down, the control
lever for the pitch function „THRO" is automatically on the
side preferred by you.
