11. Controlling the "Yellow Bird"
Before operating your model, you should get to know the available control options first in order to be
able to safely control the model.
The electric model helicopter is controlled via the two control sticks on the remote control transmitter.
The functions described in the following are available.

a) Flying altitude

The flying altitude is controlled with the left control stick on the remote control transmitter (see Figure
1, pos. 4). The further the control stick is pushed forward from the centre position, the faster the main
rotor turns.
The paddle bar with the two flyballs ensures that the two rotor blades have the same blade angle. As
of a certain speed, the rotor generates so much lift that the model helicopter lifts off and flies.
When the speed is reduced, the model helicopter reduces its flying altitude as well.
Caution!
Never let the left control stick on the remote control transmitter abruptly spring back into
the centre position since the model helicopter would then reduce the speed of the main
rotor as abruptly and the model would hit the ground very hard.
The control travel from the centre position to the lower limit stop has no control function
on the model helicopter.
