holder is not permitted. In order to exchange fuses, you will have to separate the
measuring device from the voltage circuit and switch it off. Remove all connected
leads and sensors. Manually open the casing carefully by using a suitable Philips
screwdriver. Remove the defective fuse(s) and replace them with those of the
same type and nominal power.
For the uA/mA-range: 0.5 A super rapid-acting, 600 V, High Energy and for the A-
range 15 A super rapid-acting, 600 V, High Energy.
After changing the fuses, close the housing and screw it carefully together in
reverse order. Switch the device on again after the housing has been closed and
screwed in securely.
• Be particularly careful when dealing with alternating voltages exceeding 25 V -(AC)
or direct voltages greater than 35 V (DC). Even at these voltages, you can receive
an extremely dangerous electric shock by touching electrical leads. Therefore,
switch off the voltage source first, connect the measuring device with the connec-
tions of the voltage source to be measured, tune the measuring device to the
required voltage-measuring range and then switch on the voltage source. After
completing the measurement, switch off the voltage source and remove the mea-
suring leads from the connections to the voltage source.
• Before every measurement of voltage, ensure that the measuring device is not
located within the voltage-measuring range.
• The sensors must be removed from the object of measurement, before every
change of measuring range.
• Before taking any measurement, check your measuring device or your measuring
leads for damage.
• Only use measuring leads for measurements, which have been supplied together
with the measuring device. Only these leads are permissible.
• In order to avoid an electric shock, take care that the sensors and the connections to
be measured (measuring points) are not touched while measuring, even indirectly.
• The voltage running between the measuring device and earth must never exceed
1,000 V (DC) or 750 V (DC) rms.
• Do not use the device in wet rooms or outdoors or under contrary surrounding
conditions which involve or may involve combustible gases, fumes or dust. For
your own safety, strictly avoid the measuring device or measuring cables beco-
ming damp or wet. During operation, avoid being close to:
a) strong magnetic fields (loudspeakers, magnets)
b) electromagnetic fields (transformers, motors, coils, relays, fuses, electromagnets,
etc.)
