Introduction
Dear customer,
By purchasing this VC 608 digital multimeter, you have acquired a 5-digit measuring
device (with true-rms value) which is built to the latest and highest technological
standards. It is equipped with an infrared interface.
The construction corresponds to part 1 of the German standard DIN VDE 0411
for measuring devices, i.e., EN 61010-1. Moreover, it is EMC-tested (for house-
hold use) and thereby corresponds to the standards of the established Europe-
an and national guidelines. CC-conformity has been proven; the relevant docu-
ments are in the possession of the manufacturer.
To preserve this condition and to ensure safe operation, the user has to heed this
operating manual!

Prescribed use of the VC 608 measuring
device
Measuring of direct currents up to a maximum of 1,000 V (DC)
TRUE RMS (=real root-mean-square value) – measuring of alternating currents up to
max.750 V (AC) rms
TRUE RMS - measuring of mixed voltages (AC + DC) up to max. 750 V (AC) rms / V

Measuring of direct and alternating currents (true rms) up to max. 10 A, for a maxi-

Meting van de puls/pauzeverhouding tot 100% en meting van de pulsbreedte tot 200
ms
Het meten onder slechte omgevingscondities is niet toegestaan. Slechte omgeving-
scondities zijn:
- nattigheid of te hoge luchtvochtigheid,
- de aanwezigheid van stof en brandbare gassen, dampen of oplosmiddelen,
- onweer resp. weersomstandigheden waarbij sterk elektrostatische velden kun-
nen optreden, enz.
Een andere toepassing dan hierboven beschreven is niet toegelaten en kan tot
beschadiging van de digitale multimeter leiden. Dit is bovendien met gevaren ver-
bonden zoals b.v. kortsluitingsgevaar, brandgevaar, elektrische schokken, enz.
De digitale multimeter VC-608 mag niet worden aangepast of omgebouwd!
U dient ten allen tijde de veiligheidsaanwijzingen in acht te nemen!
Bedieningselementen

1. Multifunctioneel display met 2 x 5-cijferige weergave (1 x groot, 1 x klein) en weer-
gave van de functies en meeteenheden.
2. Druktoetsenveld (functietoetsenblok) met 2a toets "HOLD" 2b toets "REL" (refe-
rentiewaardemeting) 2c toets "LIGHT" (achtergrondverlichting) 2d toets "MENU"
(subfuncties) 2e toets "Alt F" (functieomschakeltoets) 2f toets voor wijzigingen
omlaag 2g toets voor wijzigingen omhoog 2h toets voor het bevestigen van de
invoer (ENTER).
3. Draaischakelaar (=meetfunctieschakelaar) voor het instellen van de verschillende
meetfuncties (spanningsmeting, stroommeting, enz.).
4. 10-A-ingang. Deze meetingang is beveiligd met een 15-A-zekering en toegelaten
voor gelijk- en wisselstromen tot max. 10 A (max. 3 min. lang met 10 min. pauze
tussen de metingen).
5. -/r µA / mA-ingang. Via deze ingang kunnen gelijk- en wisselstromen tot max. 500
mA worden gemeten (beveiligd met een snelle 1-A-zekering). Bovendien kan er via
deze ingang een zenerdiodemeting worden uitgevoerd.
