TRACK EDITING
Part Erase
You can erase part of a selected track.
1.
Select and confirm "Part Erase" in step 5 for "TRACK
EDITING" on page 37.
The following message appears on the display.
Disc that contains the track to be partially erased
P r t . E r . 0 0 1 1 ?
The disc number that contains the track to be partially erased
flashes.
2.
Select the disc that contains the track to be partially
erased by rotating the MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/–
on the remote control).
3.
Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) to confirm the disc that contains the track to
be partially erased.
The number of the track to be partially erased flashes.
4.
Select the track to be partially erased by rotating the
MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/– on the remote
control).
5.
Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) to confirm the track to be partially erased.
I Setting the beginning point of a partial erase
1.
Press w/d (w on the remote control) to start playback
of the track to be partially erased.
"Str.Pt." and the beginning point of a partial erase alternately
appear on the display.

Set the beginning point of the partial erase by
rotating the MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/– on the
remote control).
The beginning point of a partial erase can be set by "minute:
second: frame". Move the cursor on the side of the second
indication to the point to be set by pressing t/e or r/y.

Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) to search for the point that is several
seconds before the beginning point of the partial
erase set in step 2. Then the passage between the
searched point and the beginning point set for the
partial erase is for repeatedly played.
Go to the next step, if the beginning point of the partial erase is
set appropriately. If not, continue setting by repeating steps 2
and 3.
4.
Press MODE/SET to confirm the beginning point of
the partial erase.
I Setting the ending point of a partial erase
"End.Pt." and the ending point of the partial erase alternately appear
on the display after step 4 for "Setting the beginning point of a
partial erase".

Note
• The ending point of the partial erase is temporarily set to a point
that is 10 seconds after the beginning point of the partial erase.

Set the ending point of the partial erase by rotating
the MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/– on the remote
control).
The ending point of the partial erase can be set by "minute:
second: frame". Move the cursor on the side of the second
indication to the point to be set by pressing t/e or r/y.

Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) to search for the ending point of the partial
erase set in step 1. Then the passage between the
ending point and a point that is several seconds after
the ending point is repeatedly played.
Go to the next step, if the ending point of the partial erase is set
appropriately. If not, continue setting by repeating steps 1 and
2.
3.
Press MODE/SET to confirm the ending point of the
partial erase.
"Prt.Er." and "Pt.Fix" alternately appear on the display.

When the ending point is confirmed, this unit repeatedly plays
the passage between a point that is approximately 5 seconds
before the beginning point and the point that is approximately 5
seconds after the ending point of the partial erase.
