Conditions of Guarantee

1. The Auerswald GmbH & Co. KG, Vor den Grashöfen 1, D-38162 Cremlingen as the original manufacturer, grants a manufacturer
guarantee of 24 months from the date of purchase on this product.
2. This means for you as the customer: We guarantee that our systems are free of defects when delivered to you. For a period of 24 months
from the date of purchase (transfer) the product will be repaired without charge of labour and materials or replaced (if we decide so) if a
defect in material or workmanship occurs. In contrast to rights of consumers which were granted by law, the customers does not need to
proof to Auerswald that this error has already been evident at time of the purchase. We repair or replace with new or like new parts. The
parts eventually taken from the system will be transferred to our ownership and may be destroyed.
3. These guarantee terms do not affect any statutory rights of consumers which were granted by law or by the contract of purchase with
the supplier. The rights granted by law apply only to the condition at the moment of the purchase (transfer) in contrast to our extended
manufacturer's guarantee.
4. You can only apply for this guarantee if you send the defective device on your costs with a clear evidence of purchase (invoice or receipt)
to Auerswald GmbH & Co. KG or, outside of Germany to our representatives or distributor in the country of sale. Please enclose a detailed
error description and your phone number if there are any questions. To avoid transport damage, please use sufficient packaging material
(e.g. original packing with an additional outer box).
5. Excluded from this guarantee are damages that are caused by improper treatment, incorrect handling, improper use, external influences,
stroke of lightning / overvoltage, cabinet damages and modifications of the product and improper extensions. Excluded are also parts
subject to tear and wear (e.g. batteries, fuses, accumulators, memory cards), as well as damages caused by these parts (e.g. leaking
batteries). Liability for damages arising from transportation, damages arising out of loss of use or transportation cost for personnel are
excluded.
6. The guarantee is void in case of repair or attempted repair by unauthorised personnel.
Commissioning (COMpact 5200)

Opening the Casing

Warning: Improper handling of the device can cause life-threatening electric shocks
and can damage or destroy the PBX.
• Only a qualified electrician may open the casing and perform installation work within an
open casing.
Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections can
cause life-threatening electric shocks. The PBX contains hazardous voltages, even
outside of the power supply unit (for instance ringer voltages). Work on active,
contact-hazardous parts is only permitted after creating a voltage-free state. Working close
to active parts is only permitted if these parts are voltage-free or are protected against
direct contact.
• Disconnect the power plug of the PBX and its accessories before instructing a qualified
electrician to open the casing. Also disconnect the device from additional power sources
(e. g. UPS, if installed).
• Wait at least 3 minutes for the discharge of any capacitor in the device after
disconnecting it from the main power supply.
• Only operate the device when the casing is closed.
• Only operate the device mounted on the wall.
• Do not remove the covers of the power supply unit and the mainboard. They are a
protection against accidental contact with hazardous voltages and guide the modules.
Make sure that any repairs requiring the casing cover to be removed are carried out by
the manufacturer.
