14. Transport
Ensure that the tool cannot switch on during transport.
Switch off the tool and remove the batteries before trans-
porting the tool.
Carry the tool with one hand on the additional handle (6)
and the other on the lower handle. This will prevent you
from coming into contact with dangerous parts.
Use the guard (21) when transporting and storing the
3-tooth blade (20).
Use the guards (24+25) when transporting the pole prun-
er and the hedge trimmer.
Make sure to keep a safe distance from other persons dur-
ing transport.
Secure the tool with lashing straps during transport to pre-
vent it from slipping and to protect it from damage.
15. Storage
Keep the cleaned tool in a dry and dust-free place and al-
ways out of the reach of children.
Align the cutter bar (75) straight.
Store the tool with the supplied guards (24+25) in a dry,
frost-free place and out of the reach of children.
Always store the 3-tooth blade (20) with the guard (21).
Alternatively, you can also hang up the tool by motor unit,
such as on a wall hook. For this purpose, use the keyhole
(2) on the back side of the motor unit (see Fig. A).

16. Disposal
The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means
that this appliance may not be disposed of in regu-
lar household waste at the end of its service life.
The tool must be deposited at an established col-
lection point, recycling centre or disposal company.
For the German market:
Sellers of electrical and electronic appliances as well as food re-
tailers are also obliged to take back old appliances. LIDL provides
take-back options directly in their branches and markets. The take-
back and disposal are free of charge for the user.
When purchasing a new appliance, you have the right to return a
corresponding old appliance for free. Even when not purchasing a
new appliance, you are also permitted to drop off (up to three)
old appliances for free, as long as the appliances do not exceed
25 cm in any dimension.
Please delete all personal data before returning an appliance.
Before returning an appliance, please remove any batteries that
are not permanently enclosed within the old appliance as well as
any light sources that can be removed without destroying the
appliance. Then dispose of these items separately.
The packaging is made from environmentally friendly material
and can be disposed of at your local recycling plant.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
16.1. Disposal of batteries
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be treated
as hazardous waste and must therefore be dis-
posed of in an environmentally sound manner by
appropriate bodies (retailers, specialist retailers,
public municipal bodies, commercial disposal companies). Batter-
ies may contain toxic heavy metals.
The heavy metals contained are identified by letters below the
symbol: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
For this reason, do not dispose of batteries in domestic waste.
Take them to a specialist collection point.
Only return batteries or rechargeable batteries when they are fully
discharged.
Environmental protection
Dispose of contaminated maintenance material and consumables
at a collection point provided for this purpose.
