Maintenance and storage
Inspect the tool for damage after hitting a hard object or
■
if excessive vibrations occur. Have any necessary repairs
carried out.
Always switch off the device and remove the batteries before
■
cleaning it or carrying out maintenance work.
Keep your hands away from the line cutter during cleaning
■
and maintenance work on the protective cover to avoid
injury.
Have a blunt cutting tool re-sharpened by a specialised
■
workshop. A blunt or damaged blade increases the risk
of recoil, which could lead to injuries.
Carry out maintenance and cleaning work regularly. Always
■
have the tool repaired at an authorised repair workshop.
Only use original spare parts and accessories. This is essen-
■
tial to ensure the safety of the tool. The use of accessories
or attachments not explicitly recommended by the manufac-
turer is considered improper use and poses significant dan-
gers. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages
resulting from improper use.
Always keep the tool out of the reach of children.
■
Residual risks
Even with proper use, residual risks remain that cannot
■
be entirely excluded. The design of the tool gives rise to the
following potential residual risks:
Cut injuries due to accidental contact with the strimmer;
–
Cut injuries due to reaching into the rotating strimmer;
–
Hearing damage from insufficient hearing protection;
–
Damage to health resulting from hand-arm vibrations if
–
the tool is used for an extended period of time or is not
properly used and maintained.
