To conduct the procedure, select the related command on the
app or My E-Training software and follow the instructions.
The procedure start command can be found inside the settings
page of the app.
The procedure requires to start pedalling and increase speed up
to a pre-determined value.
Stop right away once you're notified to stop pedalling.
After a few seconds the procedure will notify that the calibration
procedure has been successfully completed.
The spindown value is then memorized in the Home trainer so
the correct power data is always sent to every connected device,
including non-Elite third parties software / apps / devices.
Note:
-The previous calibration procedure can also be conducted with
software / apps / devices other than Elite's.
- Do not lift your feet from the pedal until the procedure is
complete.
- The aforementioned notes are no longer valid if the hometrainer
connects to your bike's ergometer (if available) as power is no
longer calculated but measured by the sensor on the bicycle.
Please read the "Power Meter Link (PML)" chapter for further info.

Power Meter Link (PML)

Home trainer implements also a function, called Power Meter
Link, that allows having much more accurate power data.
This function allows Home trainer to use a power sensor present
on the bike as power source.
This way, Home trainer is more precise since the power data
measured by the sensor are more precise than those Home
trainer can calculate with its formulas.
Note: this function cannot be used if no power sensor is installed
on the bike.
Use
Enabling / Disabling
You can enable or disable the PML via the Elite My E-Training
app. All versions of the app support the ability to enable or disable
this function.
In order to enable/disable the PML, start the app and make sure
it's paired with the home trainer.
Go to: Settings - PML. Current home trainer setting pops up after
a few seconds, then you can modify it. Tap OK to save the new
settings in the home trainer.
Coupling
Once the PML is activated, the roller automatically searches for
any power sensors present for a few seconds when it starts. If it
finds one, it connects to it and uses its data. For this reason, it is
good to ensure that the power sensor is transmitting before
powering the trainer.
Moreover, once connected, the roller will save the serial number
of the sensor for the following training sessions.
If in the room there are multiple power sensors, the roller will
connect to the power sensor with the strongest signal, which will
normally be the one on the bike.
Following sessions
The following sessions, every time it is switched on, Home trainer
will try to connect always to the sensor it coupled with the first
time.
If it cannot connect to the sensor or the sensor is not present,
Home trainer will use its algorithms to calculate the power.
Reset
If you wish to change the sensor, just power the trainer making
the wheel move (even manually) or pedalling a few times within
few seconds. In fact, on start-up, if the speed exceeds zero,
Home trainer resets the sensor saved in the memory and starts
looking for another sensor, as if it were the first time.
When the Home trainer resets the serial number of the power
sensor, it performs 6 slight vibrations to confirm the cancellation.
It is also possible to reset the home trainer via the Elite My
E-Training app. Go to the Settings -> PML page.
NOTES:
- This function is not available if there's a power meter installed
on the bike.
- If Home trainer has connected to an incorrect sensor, just reset
the coupled sensor and repeat the coupling operation, paying
attention to move the sensor you do not want Home trainer to
connect to, away.
- If, during training, Home trainer loses the connection with the
power sensor, it goes automatically to using the formulas to
calculate the power. In the meantime, it keeps trying to
re-connect with the sensor.
- The cancellation vibrations are very light. To feel them, it may be
necessary to lay your hand on the resistance unit.
- If there are Bluetooth cranks / pedals, the home trainer will only
connect with one of the two. It is not possible to predetermine
which one it will connect to. Moreover, as each pedal / crank only
measures power developed by the related leg, the displayed
value is about half of the total power developed by the cyclist. In
this case, enable the "Half Power" option via the My E-Training
app (Settings->PML page) to display proper values..
- During the initial search for power sensors, the blue LED flashes
quickly.

Gradient simulation

The training roller simulates the slope through variation of
the resistance. This system allows for faithfully replicating
even the slightest changes in slope, ensuring an authentic
experience both uphill and downhill. The gradual modulation
of the resistance of the roller faithfully reflects the real condi-
tions, avoiding abrupt and unrealistic fluctuations that could
compromise the effectiveness of training.
The power interval developed by the cyclist that the home
trainer can brake on is very wide. It is still possible however to
find extreme conditions where pedalling resistance is outside
the interval (too high or too low). In this case the home trainer
supplies the max or minimum braking torque and displays
the actual power developed by the cyclist , not the theoretical
one, on screen.
When the situation calls for a higher braking
torque than the maximum allowed, the home
trainer continues supplying the same maxi-
mum braking torque and as a consequence
