3 Quick guide to your first espresso

When preparing an espresso, please adhere to all safety instructions and
warnings contained in these operating instructions. Before preparing
your first espresso, the machine must have been installed (see Chapter 7,
„Installation") and started up (see Chapter 8, „Initial start-up") correctly.

1. Switch on the machine using the on/off
button.
The LED ring will light up and the brew

boiler will start to heat up.
2. Wait until the brew temperature has been
reached.
3. Fill the desired portafilter with ground
coffee.
4. Position the portafilter at an angle of
approx. 45° below the brew group.
5. Push the portafilter into the holder of
the brew group until the latches on the
portafilter engage in the recesses on the
brew group.
