Gently tapping the portafilter with your fingers evenly distributes the
ground coffee in the filter.
3.
Place the provided tamper on top of the ground coffee and exert an
even, controlled pressure. Do not tilt the tamper when doing this.
4.
Turn the tamper slightly to achieve an even surface.
The ground coffee is now pressed and compacted.

9.6
Inserting the silicone attachments and filters in the
portafilter
The scope of delivery for the machine includes 1x silicone attachment with
one spout, 1x silicone attachment with two spouts, 1x one-cup filter, 1x two-
cup filter, 1x three-cup filter, and 1x blind filter with the following functions:
•
Silicone attachments for the controlled dispensing of espresso
•
Cup filters for preparing espresso and cappuccino
•
Blind filter for cleaning the brew group

Portafilter with two-cup filter and silicone attachment
Install the silicone attachments as follows:
1.
Hold the portafilter by the handle (3, Fig. 6) with the P logo (4, Fig. 6)
facing up.
2.
Use both hands to press the desired silicone attachment (2, Fig. 6) into
the portafilter from below until it has fully latched in place.
Insert the filters as follows:
1.
With one hand, hold the portafilter with the P logo (4, Fig. 6) facing up.
2.
Use the other hand to insert the relevant filter (1, Fig. 6) into the
portafilter.
3.
Press the filter in using both thumbs until it latches into place.
