8 Initial start-up

When using the machine for the first time, make sure that:
• the machine has been correctly installed,
• the mains plug is disconnected from the power supply,
• the drip tray has been inserted correctly (see Chapter 7.3.1, „Installing
the blind filter"),
• the steam and hot water tilt valves are closed (see Chapter 5.2.3,
„Operating levers"), and
• the brew lever is in the starting position (see Chapter 5.2.3, „Operating
levers").
