6. ASSEMBLY
Power Supply
Always ensure correct polarity of the connection lines: red = plus (+) and
black = minus (-). Connection with wrong polarity will destroy the lightboard!
For proper function, the lightboard must be connected to the 3-cell
LiPo drive battery of the RC EYE 650. It is possible to supply the
lightboard via the flight battery's balancer plug. For this, a JST-XH
connector is already preinstalled on the lightboard.
Alternatively, the 12 V connecting line of the lightboard can be
equipped with the enclosed JST-EH or JST-TP connector.
Connecting the Power LEDs
Only use power LEDs that have a current of no more than 350 mA in continuous opera-
tion and ensure sufficient cooling of the LEDs.
When operating two or three LEDs at one output, they have to be switched in series.
Always observe correct polarity.
The lightboard has two outputs for connection of power LEDs (L1 and L2). The power LEDs included in
delivery are connected to these two outputs. You can connect up to three power LEDs in series for each
connection. Independently of the number of LEDs (1 - 3), the output current is limited to 350 mA and the
outputs are permanently short-circuit proof. The typical current is at 300 mA.
The LEDs are connected via the solder
contacts of connections L1 and L2. Observe
the designations of the solder points:
PAD6: Plus solder connection for power
LED output L2
PAD7: Minus solder connection for power
LED output L2
PAD9: Plus solder connection for power
LED output L1
PAD10: Minus solder connection for power
LED output L1
