Interface Connection
For a connection of the lightboard (1) to the control board(2),
the lightboard comes with a 26-wire foil cable (3) that must be
connected to the connection strip for the broad interface cable.
Later, when installing the lightboard in the RC EYE 650,
observe that the two connection strips for the broad interface
cable (lightboard and control board) are exactly across from
each other.
When inserting the lightboard into the RC EYE 650, the flat
cable can be placed downwards in a loop.
When placing the lightboard, observe a sufficient distance
between lightboard and motor drive PCB (4) and that the
components cannot touch each other.
7. OPERATION OF THE
General Information
First, connect the LEDs, LED strips, power LEDs and servos desired by you to the lightboard.
The 26-wire foil flat cable is long enough to operate the lightboard outside of the RC EYE 650 frame for
testing and configuration.
Place a piece of plastic or another insulating material below it so that the danger of a short circuit between
the lightboard and other electronic components of the RC EYE 650 is effectively prevented.
Then switch on the transmitter and connect the flight battery to the RC EYE 650.
If you supply the lightboard via the balancer plug of the flight battery, first connect this plug and then the
high-voltage plug.
This way, you can ensure that the 26-wire flat cable is not overloaded by the high power of the connected
power LEDs.
After a brief initialisation stage, the LEDs will light, flash or remain dark according to the light mode set.
A total of 7 different modes are available and can be set individually via jumpers.
Additionally, every light mode can be switched to three conditions with an RC signal. For this purpose, use
a switch with centre position (high, neutral, low) or a slider or rotary control at the transmitter.
For switching the light mode, channel 5 - 8 or an external servo signal (PPM) can be used.
In connection with the 7 different modes, the following light patterns result:
