Use of the electrical scarifier over a long period
can lead to vibration-related circulatory disorders
(Raynaud syndrome).
Information about the duration of use cannot be
provided in this case, since this can vary from per-
son to person.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a min-
imum.
• Only use appliances which are in perfect working
order.
• Service and clean the appliance regularly.
• Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
• Do not overload the appliance.
• Have the appliance serviced whenever necessary.
• Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
• Wear protective gloves.
6. Before starting the equipment
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply
make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical
to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making adjust-
ments to the equipment.
The scarifier is delivered unassembled. The grass bas-
ket and the complete push bar must be assembled and
mounted before using the scarifier. Follow the operat-
ing instructions step-by-step and use the pictures pro-
vided as a visual guide to easily assemble the machine.

n Important!
You must fully assemble the appliance before us-
ing it for the first time!
Guide rail assembly (Fig. 3 - 8)
• Fit the lower push bar (8) as shown in Figures 3 and
tighten the screw. (Fig. 3)

• Slide the cable strain relief (B) onto the upper push
bar (3) and connect this to the centre push bar (6)
using fastening screws (F) and plastic star grip nuts
(5). (Fig. 4 + 5)

+ 6) to the lower push bar (8) using fastening screws

• Fasten the switch cable with the two cable clamps
(C) to the handle. (Fig. 7 + 8)
Installing the safety switch (Fig. 6)
• Remove the bottom cover
• Place the safety switch above the holes of the upper
push bar (3)
• Re-mount the cover using the screws provided (H)
Installing the catch basket
• Put the rubber tabs over the frame of the catch bas-
ket (Fig. 9)
• Hang the catch basket (7) into the device. To do this,
lift the discharge flap and hang the catch basket (7)
into the appropriate brackets on the device.(Fig.10)
Adjusting the scarifying depth (Fig. 11)
The scarifying depth is set using the depth adjustment
(10) on the two front wheels. To do this, gently pull the
depth adjustment (10) away to the up, bring it to the
desired position and let it latch into that position.

Adjusting the aerator roller depth
In order to guarantee faultless operation and avoid
damage to the aerator roller, only use the aerator roller
with the depth setting "3+4".
Adjusting the steering bar (Fig. 5 + 13)
• First loosen the grip screws (Fig. 5), so that you can
adjust the steering bar.
• Set the desired height, as shown in Fig. 13. (You can
choose between three levels).
