Visual Check
Check visually if all components used are free of defects. Damaged components must not
•
be used and must be replaced.
NOTICE
The tip of the sonotrode must not show any signs of mechanical damage. It must not be bent
or rammed (typical damage after the handpiece has fallen down).
2.3.5
Automatic and Manual Functional Test
After turning on the device by pressing the mains switch (item 12, foldout front page) the
device performs an automatic functional check. After the successful check the device switches
to operating mode.
In case of an assumed malfunction you can perform another, manual functional check by
pressing the button Test (item 7, foldout front page) with the device switched on.
CAUTION
Danger of injury by burns!
Contact with the sonotrode during the check can cause burns to tissue.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc!
Press the button Test (item 7, foldout front page) and wait until the test sequence has

finished. During this process the tip of the sonotrode must not touch any objects.

— Display Service: Perform steps described in chapter 4.1 "Troubleshooting", page 41.
