16.3.2.2 Safety Network Notices
ACD offers products and solutions with industrial safety functions that support the safe operation of plants,
systems, machines and networks.
To secure plants, systems, machines and networks against cyber threats, it is necessary to implement (and
continuously maintain) an end-to-end industrial security concept that reflects the current state of the art.
ACD's products and solutions support one element of such a concept.
Customers are responsible for preventing unauthorized access to their equipment, systems, machines and
networks. These systems, machines and components should only be connected to the corporate network or
the Internet if and when necessary and only if appropriate protective measures (e.g., firewalls and/or
network segmentation) have been taken.
ACD's products and solutions are constantly evolving to make them even more secure. ACD strongly
recommends applying product updates as soon as they are available and always using only the latest
product versions. Using outdated or unsupported versions can increase the risk of cyber threats.
