Reset Commands
7.3.1
Description
The device supports various reset commands for resetting
the set parameters to default values. Each of these
commands is accessed by means of System Commands.
This function is defined in the IO-Link specification and is
implemented according to Version 1.1.2.

Device Action
Device Reset – Device Reset means a warm start of the device. During this process, the
microcontrollers are restarted and all initializations performed again without any change
made to the parameter values.
Application Reset – This reset is performed using IO-Link specification V1.1.2.
– Resets all parameters and device settings to default values (with the exception of the
identification and tagging parameters)
– No reset of the configuration of the device variant
– Set DS-upload request (accept the data in the memory)
– No communication stop or restart
Restore Factory Settings – This reset is performed using IO-Link specification V1.1.2.
– Reset all parameters and device settings to default settings (including identification and
tagging parameters)
– Reset the configuration of the device variants to the default variant
– No DS-upload request
– Communication stop and restart possible.
Maintenance Reset – Resets all resettable maintenance and service life parameters for the
user so that the next maintenance cycle can begin.
