Every consumer is legally obliged to bring rechargeable (batteries) to a local
collection point. All (rechargeable) batteries can therefore be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner. (Rechargeable) batteries that contain
pollutants are marked with this sign and chemical symbols (Cd for cadmium,
Hg for mercury, Pb for lead).
