tance is felt.

ral times. The motor should start after
1-2 pulls.
If the engine does not start after
several attempts, try the
"Procedure: Cold start".

Release the chain brake by
pulling the chain brake lever
(12) towards the front handle
(1) until the chain brake releases.
If the saw chain moves when the
motor is idle, there is a problem
with the clutch or no-load rotation
speed. Take the device out of operation
and contact the service centre.
CAUTION!If you now operate

the throttle lock (3) and the thrott-
le lever (6), the saw chain(9) starts to
run.

The motor cannot be turned on if
the chain brake has engaged.
1. Place the device on a level, stable base
and remove the blade bar's protective
cover (16).
The saw chain (9) must not touch
the ground or objects.
2. Switch the petrol chainsaw on, as de-
scribed in the chapter "Switching on/
off".
3. With the engine running, operate the
chain brake lever (12) with your left
hand. To do so, push the chain brake
lever (12) away from the front handle
(1).
The saw chain (9) should stop abruptly.
4. If the chain brake is working properly,
turn the on/off switch (24) to the "O"
position and release the chain brake
by pulling the chain brake lever (12)
towards the front handle (1).
If the chain brake does not
work properly, do not use the
petrol chainsaw. There is a risk of
injury from the trailing saw chain.
Have the petrol chainsaw repaired
by our customer service. Contact
our service centre for this.

Checking chain lubrication

Before starting work, check the oil level in
the function of the chain lubrication.
The blade bar and saw chain must
never be operated without oil. If the
petrol chainsaw is used with too little oil,
