The saw chain must not move when
idle. If the saw chain moves when
the motor is idle, there is a problem with
the clutch or no-load rotation speed. Please
contact the service centre.
Procedure: Cold start
1. Check whether there is enough chain
oil in the tank and top up with chain oil
if necessary (see chapter "Filling with
chain oil").
2. Place the device on a level, stable base
and remove the blade bar's protective
cover (16).
The saw chain (9) must not touch
the ground or objects.
Operate the chain brake by

pushing the chain brake lever
(12) away from the front
handle (1) until the chain brake enga-
ges.
Move the on/off switch (24)

into position "I".
Press the petrol pump (23) six

Pull out the choke (22) (

Hold the device firmly, with

one hand on the front handle (1) and
your foot in the rear handle (4).
With the other hand, pull the

starter cable on the starter

starts.
As long as the choke (22) is
pulled out, the engine starts only
briefly and then stops again.
If the engine has started and

stopped briefly, operate the
throttle lock (3) and briefly the
throttle lever (6).
The choke (22) jumps back to
the warm start position.
