10 Setting up the monitor/DVR

10.1 Installing a hard disk/SSD

Video recordings can be stored on a hard disk/SSD and a microSD card. A hard disk/SSD and a microSD card
must be formatted in the monitor/DVR before the first use. Formatting is initiated automatically after powering on
with a brief delay and can be cancelled.
To install a hard disk in the monitor, loos-
en the two cross-head screws (1) on the
mounting frame (J) on the rear of the mon-
itor.
Slightly push the mounting frame (K) down
(2) in the direction of the fluted arrow.
Remove the mounting frame (K) (3).
Now insert your hard disk/SSD into the
mounting frame (K) (4). Align the hard disk/
SSD so that its upper side is in the frame.
The hard disk/SSD connections must be on
the opposite side of the mounting holes of
the mounting frame (K) (5).
With a mounting height of only 5.5 or
7 mm, there is a small gap between the
top of the hard disk/SSD and the frame.
This means that the hard disk/SSD does
not rest against the mounting frame (K).
Secure the hard disk/SSD with screws (6).
We recommend using the original screws
supplied with your hard disk/SSD.
Put the mounting frame (K) with the hard
disk/SSD back into the installation slot (7).
Push the mounting frame (K) up (8) and
fasten it with the screws (1) removed earlier
(previous figure).
