Replacing the rechargeable battery

Caution! The rechargeable battery may only be replaced by a qualified electrician
who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE)!
• Check the rechargeable battery for correct function at regular intervals. The rechargeable
battery must be replaced after 4 years at the latest.
• Disconnect the electrical power supply at all phases. The mains supply line must be
de-energised.
• Remove the housing from the bracket.
• Open the housing to replace the rechargeable battery. To do this, loosen the screw on the
side of the housing. You can then remove the upper part of the housing.
• Remove the red and black cables from the PCB connector.
• The rechargeable battery is held with a reusable cable tie. Open the cable tie and remove
the rechargeable battery.
• Insert a new equivalent rechargeable battery and close the cable tie so that the rechargeable
battery is firmly seated. Connect the cables of the new rechargeable battery to the PCB
connector.
Illustration for information only. Rechargeable battery may vary.
• Place the upper part of the housing on the underside and tighten up the screw on the side
of the housing.
• Charge the new rechargeable battery for 24 hours.

Care and cleaning

• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these
may damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Perform a functional test at regular intervals.
