17. Operation with Android

a) Connecting the monitor/DVR to the network

• Switch the monitor/DVR off and connect it to your network device (e.g. router or switch) using a 1:1 network cable.
• Switch on the monitor/DVR.
• Open the network settings menu (see section 12. a).
• Configure the settings for your network. In general, no settings are required, because the monitor/DVR obtains the
IP address automatically (DHCP is preset) provided that your network features a DHCP server (this is the case for
most routers).
If you have disabled the DHCP server on your network and manually assigned an IP address to each device, you
will also need to assign an IP address to the monitor/DVR.
In the password entry field, set a password for connecting to the app.
• Open the network information on the bottom line of the network settings menu. This should display the IP address
of the monitor/DVR as well as a QR code.
If this is not the case, save the settings and exit the settings menu. Switch off the monitor/DVR, wait for a
few seconds, and then switch the monitor/DVR back on.

b) Downloading and installing the app

• Download the free "GoCamPro" app from the Google Play Store and install it
on your smartphone.
When this manual was published, Android 4.2 or higher was required to run
this app. Newer versions of the app may require a more recent system version.
• After launching the app, you can add a new device by scanning the QR code in the network information displayed
on the monitor/DVR or by entering the device ID to the left of the QR code (enter the 20-digit combination without
spaces).
• In the password field, enter the password that you used in the monitor/DVR network settings menu.
• Select the corresponding channels (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4) depending on the number of available cameras. These
can be displayed (and changed) in the app.
• Enter a name for the connection in the top line.
• A list of devices will be displayed when you have added the connection. If you only add one monitor/DVR, only one
device will be displayed.
If you have other monitors/DVRs (or devices that work with the same app), you can select the device whose
camera you wish to display.
• After you select the device, a blank screen will be displayed with the "
video from the first camera.
