17 Range
The wireless signal transmission range of the wireless camera and the monitor is up to 150 m under optimal condi-
tions.
This transmission range data refers to the so-called "free-field range". However, the ideal arrangement (e.g. monitor
and wireless camera on a smooth, level meadow without trees, houses, etc.) is not possible in practice.
In most scenarios, the monitor is placed indoors, and the wireless camera is mounted on a carport, staircase, or other
area that requires surveillance.
Different objects have a different impact on the range; therefore, no specific range can be guaranteed. The range
should be sufficient for use in a detached house.
If the monitor does not obtain a signal from the wireless camera, move the monitor and wireless camera closer
together or reorient the antenna.
Ideally, the antennas should be oriented parallel to each other. The range is significantly reduced when the tips of the
antennas are aimed at each other.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
Coated/double-glazed windows, aluminium windows etc.
Trees, bushes, soil, rocks
Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g., radiators, steel doors)
Proximity to human bodies
Broad band interferences, e.g. in residential areas (routers, WLAN devices, mobile phones, radio headphones
etc.)
Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, monitors
Proximity to mains sockets, network cables
Proximity to computers or other electrical devices that are improperly shielded or operated without any cover
18 Cleaning and care
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They can damage the
housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth.
