Each command consists at least of the command abbreviation (3 ASCII characters) and the
end character. No, one or several parameters as well as a question mark can stand between
the command abbreviation and end character. The commands can be entered in uppercase
or lowercase letters. A command is executed only on detection of the end character. This
can be optionally a line feed (LF) or a semicolon (;). The latter is interpreted as end character
only if it is not included in a text parameter (within quotation marks).
A question mark after the command abbreviation identifies a query command. It causes the
WE2108 to output the current setting of a parameter as answer. The output information is
explained in the descriptions of the commands.

Other characters at arbitrary position within the command are ignored. For example, the
entry A§SF#7 is interpreted as command ASF7; . In the case of numerical entries, preceding
zeros are suppressed, texts must be included in " " .
In the case of a change of the baud rate or interruption of the interface cable, undefined
characters which are interpreted after the next end character as (faulty) command are
received. Therefore in this case an end character should be sent initially to the WE2108 and
the answer ignored. This process sets command processing to a defined state.
