The transmission duration of a character depends upon the baud rate:
WE2108
The answer (0CRLF) to the BDR command is already given in the new setting
(baud rate, parity). After changed baud rate communication is no longer possible
initially, since the computer must also be changed over to the new configuration.
Therefore the answer is not received correctly as a rule (framing / parity error at
the PC interface).
After BDR; the control program must provide for a waiting time (approx. 500ms)
and then communicate in the new baud rate. With fast transmission of several
commands, further commands possibly stand in the input buffer before the BDR
command is executed. However, these are deleted at the baud rate switch−over.
Command chains such as the following are therefore not permitted:
TDD0;ASF4;BDR5;ADR10;
BDR?; (Query previous value)
³ Answer: 7CRLF
S98; (WE2108 executes without returning answers, see Section )
BDR5; (example, 2400 baud)
Command is executed, but answer temporarily stored
³ subsequently switch over the interface of the control computer to 2400 baud
Wait for 500 ms
S31; (31 = address of the WE2108)
³ The answer 0CRLF which was stored after the BDR command must now appear.
