The normal application is a point−to−point connection between a PC and a WE2108
(RS232). A new WE2108 (factory setting) is immediately ready for communication with a
computer, it performs valid commands and returns answers.
A prerequisite is that the interface data of PC and WE2108 agree. The following setting is set
ex works:
If the PC interface cannot be set to these values, then the WE2108 can be changed over in
the menu corresponding to the following table. The change is stored non−volatilely and also
applies after switching off or power interruption.
Setting in the ioSEt menu, "bAud" parameter:
A change is also possible by software after establishment of communication (see BDR com-
mand, Section 8.1.3 ).
If the WE2108 no longer reacts to commands, the basic state can be produced initially with
the following steps:
The technical data of the interface are explained in more detail in Section 8. The RS485 ver-
sion of the WE2108 is also suitable for configuration of bus operation, refer to Chapter
HBM
