6.11 Checking function

Risk of injury due to defective or damaged gas/or cable connections
If cable connections are installed incorrectly, there is a risk of injury or fatal electric shocks.
► Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
► Damaged, deformed or worn parts should only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
Stunning of eyes by arcs
Arcs produced when testing can damage your eyes.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment (eye protection).

Switch on the device at the On/Off switch.

The LED illuminates.
Ensure that the cable connections are correctly

seated/connected.
Check the locking elements (wire coil mandrel,

service lock, stop lever, running gear elements,
closed hood) and adjust if necessary.
Check the position of the welding torch and

bring it to the work position if necessary.
Check the LED status indication. The LED will
5
illuminate green.

Press the <SHIFT> and <TRAV TEST> buttons on
6
the remote control and check the direction of
movement (CW/CCW).
Press the <CYCLE> button on the remote control.

Press the <STOP> button on the remote control to

terminate the functional check.
