6.12.3 Programming the device

Open the device manager on the PC.

Open the dropdown menu for connections

(COM and LTP).
"USB Serial Port (COMX)" appears on the
"Connections (COM & LPT)" tab if the connection
cable is connected. The X is a placeholder and
indexes the assigned port number (SerialPort) of
the adapter.
Note the port number (SerialPort).

Open the software ABI_EDIT.exe from

the previously selected location.
Click the <Scan> button.

Select the port number (SerialPort) from

the dropdown menu.
Confirm the selection by choosing

the <Open> button.
Choose the <Load> button. The values saved to

the device are transferred to the PC.
Buttons 1 to 11 are freely programmable
programs.
Button 12 is the position-sensor-supported program.
The position sensor is only activated in
program 12.
Choose buttons 1 to 11.
