18. TROUBLESHOOTING - BUS UNIT
Issue
The device is unable to make
an alarm call.
No voice transmission.
The pictograms flash alter-
nately (during set-up, and
*78* in default mode).
The pictograms flash alter-
nately (dialling unit already in
operation).
The intercom station emits a
beep every 5 seconds.

Possible cause(s)
In order for the dialling unit to
make calls, at least one tele-
phone number and/or, if using
identification data, an ID code
must be programmed.
Alarm button not connected.
No bus device connected.
If the main intercom station
is mounted on the cabin roof,
the fault may be caused by
induction in the telephone
line.
Bus communication error
caused by one or more bus
units with identical address,
interrupted or incorrectly wired
bus line.
Last routine test failed.
This informs the passengers
that a call is taking place
(interception protection). This
is a common procedure.
Solution
Check configuration.
Check wiring.
At least one bus device must
be connected for an emer-
gency call.
Install the bus line in an
environment with low external
interference. Perform a micro-
phone test (see "Microphone
test").
Make sure that the addresses
of the bus units are set to
different numbers.
Make sure that the bus line is
not interrupted.
Check the installation of the
bus line.
Check emergency call. If the
emergency call is successful,
check the configuration of
the routine, possibly match
it with the expectation of the
recipient.
The connection must be
disconnected from the remote
station or you have to wait
until the maximum call time
(parameter *79*) has expired.
