6) Pull a soaked PVA bag over the plaster model (see fig. 11).
7) Cut a piece of Nylglass stockinette (2 times the length of the
plaster model). Pull the Nylglass stockinette halfway over the
plaster model.
8) Apply a strip of carbon fibre cloth (approx. 8 cm wide) in a circle
on the lamination disc.
9) Fold the second half of the Nylglass stockinette over the plaster
model and tie it off with perlon stockinette.
10) Lay one layer of carbon fibre cloth mediolaterally over the plaster
model, up to approximately 2 cm distally from the socket brim.
11) Attach a strip of carbon fibre cloth (approx. 8 cm wide) in a circle
distally from the MPT line.
12) Trim a layer of woven carbon fibreglass stockinette (0.3 times the
length of the plaster model). Pull the woven carbon fibreglass
stockinette over the plaster model in the area of the shuttle lock.
13) Cut a piece of Nylglass stockinette (2 times the length of the
plaster model). Pull the Nylglass stockinette halfway over the
plaster model.
14) Tie off the Nylglass stockinette in the groove of the lamination
disc. Fold the excess Nylglass stockinette over the plaster model.
15) Cut a piece of fibreglass stockinette (1.5 times the length of the
plaster model). Pull the fibreglass stockinette over the distal half
of the plaster model.
16) Fold the second half of the fibreglass stockinette over the plaster
model.
17) Reinforce the distal area of the socket around the lamination disc
and shuttle lock with carbon fibre cloth.
18) Pull 2 layers of Nylglass stockinette over the plaster model.
19) Pull a soaked PVA bag over the plaster model.
20) Complete the lamination process with Orthocryl.
21) Perform final assembly (see page 12)

5.3 Final assembly

Prerequisite: The prosthetic socket has been finished.
>
Required materials: 710D4 torque wrench, torque wrench
>
(adjustable to 0.5 Nm), 506G21=M4x10 set screw
1) Grind away the ratchet unit dummy and remove the dummy (see
fig. 12).
2) Screw the ratchet unit into the shuttle lock (torque value: 10 Nm).
3) Screw the set screw into the shuttle lock on the inside of the pros
thetic socket (torque value: 0.5 Nm). This secures the ratchet unit
(see fig. 13).
6 Use
CAUTION
Pin not fully inserted into the lock
Risk of injury due to loss of connection to the prosthesis
► Guide the pin into the lock in accordance with the instructions.
► Always verify that the pin is engaged in the lock before using the
prosthesis.
The liner and shuttle lock are connected to each other with the pin.
The pin engages in the shuttle lock and holds the liner in place.
Putting on the Liner
1) Check the pin and liner for damage.
2) NOTICE! Align the pin with the longitudinal axis of the resid
ual limb to prevent damage.
Roll up the liner and place it on the end of the residual limb.
3) Unroll the liner onto the residual limb so that it has no wrinkles,
without shifting the soft tissue.
4) Check the fit and the alignment of the liner.
Donning the Prosthetic Socket
1) Slide into the prosthetic socket with the liner until the pin slides
into the opening of the shuttle lock.
2) Insert the pin fully into the shuttle lock.
