Then glue in the battery receptacle. Put the casing aside for hardening. Finish the orthosis: Mount the knee and, if
applicable, the ankle joint and attach inner pads and closures.

3.3 Final assembly

Remove the electronics and battery dummies from their receptacles.
NOTICE
Risk of short circuit
Do not insert the battery until the entire system has been assembled.
First connect both cables to the electronics receptacle (see fig. 25 to see fig. 28).

Then connect the electronics cable to the battery. Place three to four small strips of double-sided adhesive tape –
depending on cable length – into the cable channel. Glue the cable into the casing (see fig. 29). You may shorten
the battery cable in the battery plug section. Leave approximately 5 cm additional cable length to allow for installa­
